Social Security payments for SSDI beneficiaries are set to be sent out soon. These payments are important for many retirees who rely on Social Security as their main source of income. Knowing the date of payment allows them to plan and budget accordingly. The Social Security Administration divides pensioners into three different groups, and the next group to receive payment is Group 3, which consists of recipients with a birthday between the 21st and 31st of the month. The minimum amount for SSDI checks in 2023 is $794 per month for a single person and $1,191 for a couple. Disability pensioners and those over 65 with low Social Security income may qualify for Supplemental Security Income.

It is not possible to collect Social Security and disability at the same time, but it is possible to stop collecting the disability benefit and start collecting the Social Security check. In March 2023, an extra check will be sent out in advance of the April 2023 check, specifically the Supplemental Security Income check. This payment is sent out to low-income SSDI recipients on the 1st of the month, but due to irregularities in April, the April SSI payment will be made on the last working day of March, which is the 31st. Therefore, there will not be a new SSI check in April, but the beneficiaries will already have received one.
