An 18-year-old named Fredarrious Wilson, who had been reported missing from West Memphis, Arkansas, was found dead in the Holly Springs National Forest in Yalobusha County, Mississippi. According to a police report, Wilson’s mother had seen him last before he went to the movies with a classmate in a four-door, red or burgundy vehicle. When she tried calling him at 11 p.m., he did not answer. Police were able to locate Wilson’s phone and trace it to the national forest, where his body was found 30 yards off County Road 243. A search by the Yalobusha County Sheriff’s Office and other agencies on Tuesday night had been unsuccessful, but Wilson’s body was discovered the following day.
Sheriff Jerimaine Gooch of Yalobusha County said in a statement that they were focused on the investigation and finding the perpetrator. The case is now being investigated as a homicide, but no information about possible suspects or motives has been released.
