The Social Security Administration (SSA) has announced that they will be issuing a new Social Security Check 2023 for some of the agency’s beneficiaries. This check is a Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payment that will be worth up to $914 a month. Applicants must apply for these payments in advance because it is not possible to receive the check in the same week of the application.

According to Quirós Villalba, if the Social Security Check 2023 is not immediately received today, beneficiaries may have to wait for awhile. Nonetheless, when the SSA issues the payments, beneficiaries will start to cash it out. Unlike the Social Security retirement benefits, there will be no different groups of beneficiaries who will receive the SSI payments monthly.

Who will receive the Social Security Check 2023 today?

According to Severi, all Social Security Check 2023 with the SSI payments will be issued on the first day of each month except for some exceptions. This is because if the first day of the month is a weekend or a holiday, the SSA payment schedule states that the issuance will be moved to the preceding business day instead.

Adhering to the SSA payment schedule, for the month of March, Social Security beneficiaries are expected to receive double payments. This is because the first day of the month of April is a Saturday. Therefore, the SSI payments for the month of April will be moved to March 31. Nonetheless, all SSI beneficiaries who have also previously received the benefits will receive the payments. There will be no delimitation to a beneficiary’s birthday, status, or any other requirement.
