At the funeral reception for a 15-year-old who had been tragically stabbed at his St. Paul high school earlier this month, a gun fire even happened, injuring three teenage guys. According to Minneapolis police, the boys’ wounds are not thought to be life-threatening.

A shooter opened fire at a wake for a 15-year-old kid who had been fatally stabbed at school, injuring three youngsters. Following the violent incidents at the Devin Scott funeral, police in Minnesota said that a teenage boy was now in jail. The funeral gathering was going on at the El Rio Vista Recreation Center on the West Side of St. Paul when police got a call about someone shooting bullets at the location from a white vehicle. The sedan was involved in a collision shortly afterwards with another vehicle less than half a mile away from the scene, where two people fled.

Police apprehended a 16-year-old who was armed with a modified handgun and are trying to determine his role in the shooting. Also, police say there is no evidence to suggest the incidents on Friday and Saturday night were connected, but the back-to-back shootings have angered public officials and residents who are desperate to curb the cycle of gun violence (AP, 2023).
