Adrienne Arrington allegedly shot at the Pittsburgh Police when the officers fired back and killed her. However, the Pennsylvania woman’s cousin claimed that Arrington was having a mental breakdown during the shooting incident.
On February 24, the Allegheny County Police officers received a report about a suspicious person in an abandoned home in the St. Clair section of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Upon responding to the location, the Allegheny County Police discovered a woman who allegedly began shooting at the officers.According to Eberhart, the Allegheny County Police and SWAT trucks surrounded the area when the Pennsylvania woman left the abandoned home while pointing a pistol at the officers. Due to the alleged shooting at the officers, the police fired back which killed the Pennsylvania woman.

Pennsylvania Woman Having a Mental Breakdown
An article on Head Topics states that the Pennsylvania woman was identified as Adrienne Arrington, 39. Musa James, Arrington’s cousin, stated that her cousin was mourning in the abandoned home where her mother and brother died. James also claimed that Arrington was having a mental breakdown and the Allegheny County Police officers probably did not attempt to defuse the situation.
The Allegheny County Police officers were reportedly called in to take charge of the case in accordance with the policies about any officer involved in a critical incident. The detectives from the Homicide Unit are still investigating the crime scene and interviewing the witnesses of the incident. Authorities say more information about the incident will be released accordingly.
