Outraged Over School Bus Assault Video in Florida, Mom Demands Justice

A video of two students assaulting a 9-year-old student on a Florida school bus has been widely shared online and sparked outrage in the community. The video shows two boys repeatedly hitting the girl while she is huddled in her seat, trying to protect herself with one hand while holding onto her backpack with the other. The mother of the victim Is taking legal action against the school, Coconut Palm K-8 Academy in Homestead, and is pursuing criminal charges against the attackers. She reported that at least two adults were present on the bus at the time of the incident, including the bus driver and an aide.
