Local News in Wisconsin: A Suspect Was Arrested After Charged Double Homicide

Police in Arkansas has detained a man suspected of killing two women in Green Bay over the weekend, according to authorities on Monday.

According to police, the 48-year-old Green Bay resident was at first being sought as a person of interest in the two women’s suspicious deaths that occurred on the city’s east side on Sunday.

He was apprehended during a traffic stop in Arkansas after Green Bay police alerted authorities there that a person of interest might be passing through, according to an article published by Fox News on January 30, 2023. The suspect’s and the two victims’ names have been withheld.

Officers discovered the bodies of two women inside a Green Bay duplex on Sunday: a 58-year-old Green Bay resident and a 53-year-old Bellevue resident. Authorities haven’t said how the women passed away.

According to Green Bay police, they believe the killings were not random and that at least one of the victims knew the suspect.

The murders are still being looked into. Anyone with information about the case is urged to call Green Bay police at 920-448-3200. Calling Crime Stoppers at 920-432-7867 will allow callers to remain anonymous.
