This Wednesday is the last wave of sending increased Social Security Income benefits to millions of Americans for the month of January. Beneficiaries or recipients are expected to receive an amount between $1,827 to $4,555 in direct payments.
However, your birth date determines if you will receive the payment today. Below is the scheme of the payment:
- If you were born between the first and the 10th, the payment would get to you on the second Wednesday of the month.
- Those with birthdays between the 11th and 20th get their check on the third Wednesday of the month.
- If your birthday is between the 21st to the 31st check will be deposited on the fourth Wednesday of the month.
Moreover, it is important to note that the amount they will receive varies from one person to the other. Not all will receive the same amount.

How Much Will You Exactly Get?
In a published article in The U.S. Sun, couples who are claiming Social Security Income are expected to receive an amount of $2,972 due to the increased amount of $238. Those who are waiting for the full retirement age will receive a monthly payment of $3,627.
However, those who decided to retire at 62 years old will receive an amount of $2,572. On the other hand, those who waited to retire until the age 70 will start to receive a maximum payment of $4,555.
