A 16-year old girl was found dead in a dumpster a day after Christmas in Denver

A day after Christmas, a 16-year old girl was found dead in a dumpster in the City’s Green Valley Ranch neighborhood. The authorities are investigating this as a homicide (Contreras,2022).

Dec. 26 morning, Denver Police authorities stated that they were going to conduct a death investigation regarding with the of this 16-year old  victim identified as Tayanna Manuel who was seen near the near the 4900 block of N. Salida Street. The authorities are speculating that her case was seen as homicide and labeled her as a “juvenile female”.

The Dock Ellis Foundation worked alongside Manuel’s family. The family of Tayanna Manuel, who was found dead in her Denver last week, said they were under the impression she was missing. On Dec. 23, just days before Manuel’s death, police responded to a shooting on the 4600 block of North Kittredge Street and transported a male “with unknown extent of injuries” to Denver Regional Medical Center said that it’s Manuel’s boyfriend who was shot that time.

The Denver Police authorities believed that the 2012 gray Honda CR-V with Colorado license plate CNE-I47 on the rear may likely a missing piece to resolve the case. It was speculated that it may be related to her murder case. They did not reveal her cause of death. Denver Police are offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information on the incident or the location of the Honda CR-V.
