Three people were killed after a severe storm that spawned tornadoes swept through Louisiana. More than a dozen were also left injured and thousands without electricity over the past few days, says Mueller.

More Destruction Brought By The Storm
In addition to the deaths, according to Collin Arnold, director of New Orleans Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness, four people in New Orleans were also injured after a tornado landed near the West Bank of the Mississippi River. All four people who were injured were reportedly transported to hospitals in the area. None were children of the four and all are in stable condition.
According to authorities, a tornado landed at 2:21 p.m. near Nelson Coleman Correctional Facility in Killona. The tornado then moved north towards Montz. Preliminary surveys indicate that Killona suffered the worst damage among all areas affected by the storm, St. Charles Parish President Matthew Jewell said. At least 42 tornadoes were reported to have touched down since the afternoon of December 13. More tornadoes were expected on the 14th and 15th as the severe storm moved east, as reported by 6ABC.
