Man in Utah Killed His Grandparents

The Clearfield Police Department received a call on Nov.23 around 3:10 in the afternoon from a woman saying that she found her parents dead in their garage. The two victims were identified as Thomas Walker, 87 years old, and Janice Walker, 85 years old.

When the police officers arrived, she told them that she believed that her 26-year-old son did the gruesome crime and that he was still inside the residence. Police authorities immediately surrounded the house and escorted the victim’s 60-year-old daughter.

Killer Was Taken Into Custody

Jeremy Belt, 26 years old, spoke with an officer and left the house. He was now under police custody. He was booked into the Davis County Jail on charges of two counts of murder, possession of a firearm by a restricted person, misdemeanor assault, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and criminal mischief, according to a published report in TRUE CRIME DAILY.

When Belt was asked about why he committed the crime, he said that some of his family members were trying to hurt him. He also admitted that he hit his grandparents using a hammer. It was also found that he kicked another member of the family on the same day.
