Law enforcement authorities in Orange County, Florida are looking for a “person of interest” in the murders of a 20-year-old woman and her 1-year-old daughter, who were discovered dead in a vehicle on Thursday.
Woman and Her Daughter Found Dead Inside the Car
In a recently published article in MSN News, Massania Malcolm and her daughter, Jordania, were discovered in a parking lot by Orange County sheriff’s officers on Thursday. The sheriff’s office said Friday that Doujon Duwayne Griffiths, 21, is “a person of interest in the murder of Massania Malcolm, 20, who was discovered shot to death in a vehicle yesterday on Lake Ellenor Drive.”
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office wrote on Facebook “Malcolm’s 1-year-old daughter, Jordania, also died, and her boyfriend, Jordania’s father, was shot as well and remains in the hospital. Please share, and help us seek justice
After a gunshot involving Malcolm’s boyfriend on Tuesday, Orange County Sheriff John Mina stated Friday that the corpses of Malcolm and her kid remained in the vehicle “for probably a couple of days.”
Police Identifies the Suspect
On Tuesday, law enforcement officers discovered Malcolm’s boyfriend, who has yet to be identified by authorities, with numerous gunshot wounds. Before being taken to the hospital and rushed into surgery, he was only able to inform authorities that he was shot by a ‘friend,’ according to an email from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
A family member of the guy called police authorities on Thursday, claiming they couldn’t reach the man’s girlfriend or newborn daughter. According to the sheriff’s office, the gunshot victim awoke at the hospital later that day and told investigators that he, his fiancée, their newborn daughter, and a buddy were in his vehicle when he was shot by his friend.
According to Mina, the guy told detectives that he was driving with Malcolm, her daughter, when his buddy in the back seat, who was arguing with him, discharged his firearm. Meanwhile, investigators discovered the car holding Malcolm and her daughter’s corpses around 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Detectives have obtained a warrant for attempted murder in the incident, according to the sheriff’s office, and he is now a “person of interest” in the murders of Malcolm and her daughter.
