After spending three days in a cave, where her abductor left her to be sacrificed to a ghost, a one-year-old child was discovered alive.
1-Year-Old Girl Abducted To Be Sacrificed
In a recently published article in Naija News, Pornsiri Wongsilarung, the girl, was playing in front of their house in Chiang Mai, Thailand. When the young girl known as Gina was kidnapped, her mother, Malee Pasee, was making dinner in the kitchen and her father, Suriya Wongsilaruang, was taking out the garbage.
When the parents were unable to locate their daughter, they filed a police report, prompting a search. In Chiang Mai, a team of 200 police, volunteers, and rescue personnel searched neighboring houses and the forests for the newborn girl. Later, the girl was recovered from a flooded cave’s wooden house.
According to a preliminary inquiry, the child was kidnapped by her father’s friend, Siew, who was apprehended. During interrogation, Siew said he followed the orders of a woodland spirit, who ordered him to sacrifice the young girl to a ghost.
Suspect Said Forest Ghost Spirit Told Him To Sacrifice a Child
The suspect said “The forest spirits were telling me to sacrifice a child to the ghost, so I carried Gina and left her in front of the cave. I did not kill her.”
The child was covered with bug bites and looked tired when officers discovered her, but she was able to stand on her own. Medics took the child to the hospital, where she was subjected to a battery of examinations, according to a published article in IBTimes.
Statement from the Police
Police Major General Pichet Chiranantasin reportedly said “We have been questioning the Burmese man throughout the night. The suspect looked confused and might have been using drugs.”
He also added “He confessed to abducting the girl and leaving her at the cave. When he told us this we were able to make him tell us the location and we could find the girl. … We need to question the suspect more about the motive if anybody else was involved and to check if he did anything to the girl. We will also wait for medical reports on her condition.”
