AEW to Receive $1.275 Million Boost

Ohio is about to boost its role in the entertainment world with a new tax credit program designed to support film and TV projects. All Elite Wrestling (AEW) will receive $1.275 million from a total $36.7 million set aside for this purpose. This funding shows Ohio’s dedication to attracting big entertainment events. Even though AEW does not have any scheduled events in Cleveland yet and this tax credit indicates that such events could be coming in the future.

Governor Mike DeWine praised the program, noting that Ohio offers a great mix of city and rural settings for productions. “Ohio is a perfect place for entertainment production with its variety of backdrops,” he said. DeWine also pointed out that this initiative will bring more jobs and spending to local communities as film and TV productions move into the state.

Lydia Mihalik, Director of Ohio’s Department of Development, supported the program, saying it will benefit the local economy in many ways. “You never know where the next big production might be happening in Ohio,” she said. AEW last held a TV taping in Youngstown in June for their “Collision” anniversary and these new tax incentives are expected to make Ohio an even more attractive spot for future entertainment events, according to the report of Wrestling INC.
