Pruitt Family’s Double Tragedy: Community Mourns as Father Faces Charges
This tragic event comes just a year after another heartbreaking loss for the Pruitt family. In May 2023 Dandre’s daughter Taliyah Frazier was killed in a drive-by shooting. Four-year-old Taliyah was in the back seat of a Chevrolet Malibu when another car pulled up at a red light and someone inside started shooting. Taliyah was shot in the head and died the next day. Two-year-old twin boys were also in the car; one sustained a non-critical head wound while the other was unharmed. Following the drive-by shooting Dandre Pruitt drove three miles to a store where the children’s mother worked and called for paramedics. Four individuals were later arrested in connection with Taliyah’s death which police described as a “non-random, targeted shooting.” The community is mourning the loss of young Aydeen Pruitt and grappling with the repeated tragedies faced by the Pruitt family. As the investigation continues questions arise about the circumstances leading to these heartbreaking incidents. The police are urging gun safety and responsibility to prevent such devastating occurrences in the future.
