According to CBSNews, New York City is helping people who get food help (SNAP) to buy hot meals at restaurants. This is good news for seniors, people with disabilities, and those who don’t have a home. The program is supposed to grow quickly so that everyone can use it.

One of the first restaurants to join this program is Jam’It Bistro in Brooklyn. The owner, Dawn Skeete, is happy to help her customers buy hot meals. Since starting this program, people from all over the city have come to her restaurant. Dawn says it’s been great and she’s still spreading the word.
