Proposal for Employer Tax Break in Child Care Incentive Bill Aims to Ease Financial Strain for Working Families
According to the report of Center Square, Pennsylvania lawmakers are thinking about a new law that could help families struggling with expensive child care. The idea is to make a rule where employers get a tax break if they help pay for their workers child care. Representative Liz Hanbridge says lots of families are having a hard time affording child care while also working. The people who support the bill say it would not only help families but also make it easier for employers to find and keep good workers.

Leaders Advocate for More Solutions to Address the Child Care Crisis
Laura Manion, who leads the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry thinks this new law could help parents get back to work by making child care more affordable. People who run child care centers also talked about the hard parts of taking care of little kids in Pennsylvania. Dr. Lesley Spina says it’s really important to spend money on teaching little kids early because it helps them a lot later in life. But there are enough people to take care of all the kids and the people who do the work don’t get paid much. Even though this new law might help a little experts say we need to do a lot more to make sure all families can afford child care and find a place for their kids to go while they work.
