According to the report of HERALD LEADER, in Kentucky Government two Republican sponsored bills hit a surprise roadblock in a GOP-led committee. These bills House Bill 255 and House Bill 367 dealt with easing child labor laws and changing food stamp rules respectively. Despite being rejected there a chance they could come back in a special meeting. What unusual is that fellow Republicans joined in voting against them showing concerns about the impact on young workers and people needing food assistance.
