According to Fox Business, Honda’s introduction of its inaugural electric SUV presents promising prospects for prospective customers in the U.S. The company revealed that the majority of buyers of the 2024 Prologue manufactured after February 26, 2024, will qualify for the complete $7,500 EV tax credit offered by the U.S. government. This incentive has the potential to substantially lower the initial cost of the Prologue, bringing it down to $39,900 prior to delivery and handling charges, or $41,295 inclusive of these fees.

The Prologue is described by Honda as a spacious midsize SUV designed for adventure, boasting a range of nearly 300 miles on a fully charged battery. It offers three different trims  EX, Touring and Elite with options for both two wheel and all wheel drive configurations. Honda’s partnership with General Motors ensures the Prologue’s reliance on a highly flexible global EV platform powered by Ultium batteries. This launch aligns with Honda’s commitment to transition solely to electric vehicle sales in North America by 2040 as part of its broader goal to achieve carbon neutrality by mid century.
