Minnesota has implemented a unique cash rebate initiative that is a first come first served basis for the acquisition of electric or hybrid vehicles, offering a rebate of up to $2,500. The application process for this first come first served basis program can be completed online.

Certain criteria must also be met in this first come first served basis program, including a maximum vehicle price, a specific purchase or lease date, and the submission of specific documentation. Rebates will be allocated on a first come first served basis until June 30, 2027.

Furthermore, Minnesota residents have the opportunity to apply for this first come first served basis program of up to $7,500 for new electric vehicles or hybrids, and $4,000 for used electric vehicles. Similar first come first served basis programs are also available in other states like California and Connecticut.

Qualifications For The First Come First Served Basis Program

In a published article by AOL.com, to qualify, the EV must be fully electric or a plug-in hybrid, purchased or leased after May 23, 2023, and titled in Minnesota.

There is no income limit, but there are limits on the cost of the EV. New vehicles must have a base price of $55,000 or less, while used vehicles must be $25,000 or less.
