DTE Energy Rebates program will invest $145 million in universal EV charging

DTE Energy’s $145 million EV charger rebate initiative will change EV infrastructure access. This large program aims to lower financial obstacles and promote sustainable transportation options for low-income households and public spaces.

The plan calls for 270,000 EV chargers in public locations, single-family homes, and multi-family structures. DTE Energy rebates intend to reduce obstacles to electric vehicle use and help people and the environment by drastically cutting EV charger installation costs.

Pina Bennett, DTE Energy‘s director of electric sales and marketing, underlined that this project will help low-income customers consider EV purchase.

To provide comprehensive and fair access to sustainable transportation options, the initiative covers both charging and installation expenses.
