Some states in the country are now shifting toward a greener environment by shifting vehicles to electric. It is very important to note that to claim the $4,000 rebate, the purchaser needs to live in the state at the time of the purchase and at the time the rebate is issued.

In a published article in The U.S. Sun, one of the criteria is that the all-electric vehicle must be purchased from a dealer in the state that is licensed by the state as well. Moreover, the owner must purchase the all-electric vehicle for a minimum of 12 months.

Limitation of $4,000 Rebates

According to a published article in CBS News, not all those who already own all-electric vehicles are qualified to get the $4,000 rebates. It is only offered for those who own specific brands and variants of electric vehicles and also the time it was purchased is also considered.

Furthermore, Illinois. Gov. JB Pritzker said that there are more than 88,000 registered all-electric vehicles in the state and he aims to have it to a million in the next seven years.
