In a published article in The U.S. Sun, this program aims to help entrepreneurs, small business owners, and other self-employed individuals make ends meet and financially bolster their companies and 100 participants will be selected for this program.
Local Official Released a Statement
According to an article published in MLIVE, city councilmember Linh Song said, “This seemed like a good opportunity to launch a pilot, given that there are all these other federal monies that were trying to help short-term, like the eviction moratorium, additional SNAP benefits, child care, child tax credits.”
Furthermore, there are some set of criteria that residents need to meet to qualify in this program. This include to have an income at or below 225% of the federal poverty line. Those residing in homeless shelters in Ann Arbor were also eligible to apply.
