Taxpayers in Virginia are one of the lucky residents in the country this month. Eligible taxpayers will receive an amount of $400 as a refund check on November 30 after the General Assembly passed and approved the legislation last September.
In a published article in AS DIARIO, Virginia has allotted a total amount of $900 million for the distribution of the refund checks. State Governor Glenn Youngkin said, “As Virginians continue to face inflation and high prices as a direct result of policies out of Washington, D.C., these rebates are an important step going into the holiday season to help Virginians keep more of their hard-earned money for gas, groceries and essentials.”

How to Qualify for the $400 Refund Checks?
According to an article published in NBC Washington, residents and taxpayers in the state could become eligible for the refund checks if they meet the following:
- Must be a resident in Virginia
- Have submitted their respective tax return before July 1, 2023
Furthermore, eligible single taxpayers will receive $200, while couples will receive $400 check.
