The 2025 Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payment schedule has been finalized, and it’s important to be aware of the key dates. While your January 1 payment doesn’t appear on the 2025 calendar, it will be issued on December 31, 2024, to avoid sending payments on the New Year’s Day holiday.
Key Changes for Early Payments
- February Payment: The SSI payment for February will be delivered early, on January 31, 2025.
- March Payment: Since March 1 falls on a Saturday, the payment will be issued on the previous business day, February 28, 2025. So, no payments will be made on March 1, but rest assured, your payment will arrive a day earlier.
Regular Payment Schedule for April and May
- April and May Payments: These will be made as usual, on the first day of each month, with no changes to the schedule.
June Payment Shift
- June Payment: The payment for June will be made on May 30, 2025. Note that this means two SSI payments in one month—January through May payments will include the 2025 COLA increase, with a maximum benefit of $967 for individuals and $1,450 for couples.

July and August Payments
- July and August Payments: These will be made on the first of each month, with no changes.
- Double Payday for Retirees: If you’re also receiving retirement benefits, August 1 will bring a double payday, as retirees will receive both their SSI and Social Security payments.
September to December Payments
- September Payment: The payment for September will be issued on August 29, 2025.
- October Payments: There will be two payments in October. One on October 1, and another on October 31 for November.
- December Payments: December will also have two payments, with the second one on December 31, 2025, covering January 1, 2026.
Make sure to mark these important dates on your calendar to avoid any confusion regarding your payments!
