October 2024 SASSA Payment Dates: Millions of South Africans, particularly the senior citizens, the disabled, and children, still rely heavily on the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) for financial support. Eligibility for SASSA Payments

- To be eligible for the Older Person’s Grant the applicants must be permanent South African citizens who are at least 60 years old.
- For the Disability Grants the applicants with disabilities, regardless of age, who are medically unable to conduct necessary job are eligible.
