A recent report talks about the ten most dangerous cities in Wyoming in 2024. Even though Wyoming has fewer people compared to other states, some places here have lots of crime. Riverton tops the list, where crime worries people. Rock Springs is close behind, dealing with its own safety issues. Casper, though big, has its share of problems too. Even the capital, Cheyenne, isn’t safe from crime. Gillette, Sheridan, and Laramie also have crime rates higher than the state average. Riverton

Both violent and property crimes have surged with Riverton witnessing the second-highest rates of sexual assault and murder statewide in 2020. Notably the city was the site of a notorious capital murder trial involving Andrew John Yellowbear Jr., convicted in 2006 for the brutal killing of his 22-month-old daughter Marcela Hope Yellowbear.
Evansville
Evansville is a city that is part of the Casper Metro Area and takes the lead as Wyoming’s most dangerous place to live driven by crime. While violent crime saw a notable decrease property crime rose significantly. Residents despite enjoying Edness K. Wilkins State Park remain wary due to the city’s high burglary rate.
Evanston

Wheatland
