The 10 Difficult Locations in New Orleans

Desire

The environment is now characterized by abandoned homes and closed businesses, and the problems are exacerbated by underfunded public schools and high rates of crime. Nevertheless, the community holds onto optimism in the face of hardship, believing that recovery is possible despite all the obstacles.

Viavant-Venetian Isles

The Viavant-Venetian Isles neighborhood is a bayou version of Venice, despite the community’s name conjuring visions of a Venetian utopia. Situated near the lake, the inhabitants go about their everyday lives by boat, although facing financial difficulties as evidenced by a 10.2% jobless rate and a median income of only $14,722.
