It’s also one of the most economically deprived areas, with a significant portion of the population living below the poverty line. Violent crime rates in this neighborhood are alarmingly 713% higher than the national average, resulting in a 1 in 32 chance of being a victim of violent crime.

Shockingly, the risk of any crime victimization is even higher, with residents facing a 1 in 7 chance of being victims. Homicides are frequently reported in West Las Vegas, including recent incidents such as an armed barricade situation and a tragic stabbing death of a young mother. In summary, West Las Vegas is not a safe destination for tourists, whether during the day or at night, and it stands out as one of the most dangerous areas in Las Vegas.

Next on the list, is Naked City. It is situated just west of The Strat tower at the end of the Strip, is a stark contrast to the glitz and glamour of the casinos. This neighborhood is known for its high levels of violent crime, with frequent reports of homicides and drug dealing. Naked City has gained such a notorious reputation that taxis refuse to go there at night, and it is widely regarded as one of the most dangerous areas in Las Vegas. Tourists and visitors are strongly advised to avoid this area due to its safety concerns.

Lastly, Rancho Charleston stands out as one of the most dangerous areas in Las Vegas, with a violent crime rate 500 percent higher than the typical U.S. neighborhood. The community is marked by fear due to its high crime levels, attributed to factors such as a substantial drug addict population, homelessness, and the presence of gangs.

Living in this area presents a 1 in 7 chance of falling victim to criminal activities, making it a perilous choice for residents. In 2020, Rancho Charleston reported a staggering total of 12,507 crimes, including murder, assault, rape, auto theft, and property-related offenses, with property crimes outnumbering violent ones. This unsettling scenario unfolds in a neighborhood with a population of 28,787 people.
