According to True Crime News, in Cleveland, Ohio Timmeka Eggleton aged 31 received a life sentence for the murder of her 3-year-old son Curtis Witcher. The sentencing overseen by a judge in Cuyahoga County includes the possibility of parole after 31 to 35 years. Eggleton also pleaded guilty to felonious assault and endangering children. The tragic incident occurred on June 14, 2023 when Curtis was found unresponsive in his stroller near East 79th Street and Euclid Avenue. He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. An autopsy confirmed his death was caused by deliberate blunt force trauma leading to homicide charges against Eggleton.

This heartbreaking incident has sparked widespread attention primarily due to the circumstances surrounding Curtis’s custody. Previously under the care of a foster family who intended to adopt him Curtis was returned to his biological mother’s custody in March 2023 following a court decision.
