According to ABC NEWS, in a tense conclusion to a harrowing ordeal missing Utah teenager Elizabeth Gonzalez and her two young cousins have been found safe in Mexico after nearly two weeks of uncertainty. Gonzalez 14 years old disappeared along with Sofia Mailen Moreno Zamora 6 and Regina Moreno Zamora 4 while visiting family in Mexico City on June 30. The sudden disappearance prompted immediate action from authorities who launched an intensive search effort. The FBI quickly identified Antonio Moreno the biological father of Gonzalez’s cousins as a suspect in their abduction.

Mexican authorities located the three girls in Veracruz, Mexico shortly after confirming Moreno’s involvement. Surveillance footage captured Gonzalez and her cousins entering a taxi with Moreno sparking concerns about their well-being and the circumstances surrounding their departure. The activation of an Amber Alert the following day underscored the urgency of the situation alerting the public to the ongoing search for the missing children. Moreno previously residing in Kaysville, Utah had abruptly traveled to Mexico before taking the girls without permission from their mothers.
