Teen and Woman Hospitalized After South Side Shooting
Community Alarmed as Suspects Remain at Large
According to FOX32 Chicago, Chicago police reported a shooting on the Far South Side on Sunday around 7:30 p.m. on the 11800 block of S. Michigan Avenue. A teenage boy and a woman were hospitalized after being shot while standing on the sidewalk. A vehicle approached them and people inside opened fire. The boy 14 was shot in the right leg and taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in fair condition. The woman 55 also shot in the right leg, was taken to Christ Hospital and is in fair condition. No arrests have been made and the suspects are still at large, leaving the community worried about safety.

Victims Suffer Physical and Emotional Trauma, Suspects Still at Large
The 14-year-old boy sustained a gunshot wound to his right leg and was rushed to Comer Children’s Hospital for medical treatment. His condition has been described as fair indicating that he is stable but still requires care. Additionally a 55-year-old woman was also shot in the right leg and was taken to Christ Hospital. Like the teenage boy her condition is also fair. However the emotional and physical trauma inflicted upon them underscores the devastating impact of gun violence on innocent lives. Despite the efforts of law enforcement no arrests have been made and the suspects responsible for this heinous act remain at large posing a continued threat to the community. Furthermore the condition has been described as fair indicating that he is stable but still requires care.
