CEO Promises Increased Security and Police Presence

A 73-year-old man, Kenneth Muse has been arrested for murder after a woman was found stabbed to death at the Friendship House retirement community on South 4th Street. Police discovered the victim early Wednesday morning around 5:10 a.m., according to the crime report of WAVE.

Friendship House, home to residents aged 62 and older, is usually a quiet place. However, the recent incident on the sixth floor has left the community feeling shocked and sad.

Christian Care Communities, which owns Friendship House is working closely with Louisville Metro Police to find out more about the crime. CEO Mary Lynn Spalding expressed their commitment to uncovering the truth.

Spalding has not revealed the victim’s identity but confirmed they have contacted the victim’s family. The community has increased security and police presence to ensure residents’ safety.

Christian Care Communities Offers Spiritual Support Amidst Investigation

Residents were informed promptly to ease their concerns. Spalding assured them of the thorough police investigation and urged them to trust the process.

Ruth Adams, an eighth-floor resident, noticed the unusual police activity outside her window on Wednesday morning, interrupting her routine of watching children play in a nearby park. She expressed her sorrow for the victim and their family.

Furthermore, Christian Care Communities provides spiritual care with chaplains available to support anyone in need. Muse is set to appear in court on Thursday, May 16, as the investigation proceeds.
