Edgar Keiter Jr. Accused of Severing and Hiding His 75-Year-Old Father’s Legs
Kettering, Ohio, Community in Shock as 52-Year-Old Son Arrested for Gruesome Homicide
According to True Crime Daily, a shocking and disturbing crime has unfolded in Kettering, Ohio where a 52-year-old man Edgar Keiter Jr. has been accused of severing his 75-year-old father’s legs and hiding them in trash bags. The gruesome discovery was made on April 26 when police responded to a home on Croftshire Drive after two human legs were found in trash bags at the end of the driveway. The victim identified as Edgar Keiter Sr. was later determined to have died on April 22 and his death is suspected to be a homicide. The investigation into the crime led police to Edgar Keiter Jr. who was arrested on May 1 for the alleged theft of appliances and carpet from an apartment. Following his arrest authorities executed a search warrant at a storage facility where they found the victim’s remaining body parts and the stolen appliances. Keiter Jr. was also charged with three counts of tampering with evidence and one count of gross abuse of a corpse. He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail and has been held without bond since his arrest.

Edgar Keiter Jr. and Father’s Criminal Past Raises Questions About Motive
The case has sent shockwaves through the community with many left stunned by the severity of the crime. Keiter Jr. has a prior criminal record including convictions for aggravated drug possession and resisting arrest. His father Edgar Keiter Sr. also had a criminal past having been convicted of rape and gross sexual imposition against a child under age 13 in 2010. The case remains under investigation and additional charges may be pending further investigation.
