Davanta Iverson Accused of Car Break-Ins and Card Theft
According to K8 News, In Jonesboro, Arkansas, a Pine Bluff man Davanta Iverson found himself on the wrong side of the law after allegedly car break-ins and swiping credit and debit cards. The incident unfolded on Monday May 13 when Craighead County District Judge Tommy Fowler determined there was probable cause to charge the 31-year-old with car break-ins and theft of credit/debit cards. The trouble began on July 6, 2020 when Jonesboro police responded to reports of suspicious individuals tampering with car doors near Wolf Den Lane. Upon arrival officers spotted a small car with its doors ajar. As they approached one man bolted on foot while two others made a getaway in a vehicle. Among the items left behind was a wallet containing an ACC ID and a traffic citation linked to Iverson alongside multiple debit and credit cards belonging to residents in the Wolf Den area.

Further Details Emerge in Jonesboro Car Break-Ins Case
After digging deeper investigators found that Iverson had connections to a gray 2014 Hyundai Elantra which was similar to the car used by the suspects who fled. The owner of the car said Iverson often borrowed it. One night Iverson’s cousin asked for the car claiming they’d share it. When Iverson returned the car in the early hours of the morning he said the license plate was in the trunk. Police also asked Iverson’s friend for help but they said Iverson had left town and didn’t want to help. Eventually, Iverson was arrested because of this. Now he’s in jail with a $5,000 bail. His next court date is June 28. This situation shows how important it is to keep an eye on our things and how quickly the police can catch suspects.
