Alphonso Watts 53 years old recently faced a conviction for malice murder and related charges in connection with the death of Darryl Halden, aged 35 who lived above Watts in the same apartment complex. On August 16, 2020 authorities rushed to the scene where they discovered Halden near a dumpster, succumbing to gunshot wounds. Surveillance footage captured Watts exiting the apartment complex just before the incident followed closely by Halden carrying trash bags. Witnesses recounted a simmering dispute between the two neighbors ignited by Halden’s alleged act of storing his bicycle in the hallway and Watts’ baseless suspicion that Halden was spying on him through a smoke detector.
