Police Dogs Ace and Peppermint Fall Ill During Search Operation
Swift Treatment and Recovery for Police Canines
According to Fox 5 Vegas, two k9 officers, Ace and Peppermint from the Clark County School District got very sick while they were searching for drugs and weapons. Officer Steven Patty who works with them noticed both k9 officers looked tired and sticking out their tongues. They quickly gave the dogs Narcan a medicine to help with drug overdoses and rushed them to a special vet. Thankfully the k9 officers started feeling better soon after getting the medicine.

Recovery and Return to Duty for K9 Officers Ace and Peppermint
After some tests, they found out that both k9 officers, Ace and Peppermint had been around drugs like THC and opioids. Ace had even been exposed to stronger drugs like PCP, cocaine, and Oxycontin. Officer Patty was glad the Narcan worked and he mentioned it’s similar to what humans get. Now, Ace and Peppermint are back to work, sniffing out bad stuff, and they’re still loved at home. Officer Patty really cares about the k9 officers, treating them like family and making sure they’re safe both at work and at home.
