A Prior Lake man is now facing a first-degree homicide charge after the death of five people, including a teen.
Criminal Charges Of A Prior Lake Man
A Prior Lake man is going on trial for killing a teen and stabbing four others on the Apple River in Wisconsin.
The incident occurred in July 2022, with Nicolae Miu, the Prior Lake man, allegedly stabbing five people after being pushed and hit by a group of tubers.
The victims of the Prior Lake man were aged 17 to 24 and from Wisconsin and Minnesota.
The Prior Lake man claims he was looking for a lost cell phone underwater, while witnesses say he was accused of harassing young girls.
The prosecution claims that the Prior Lake man was the aggressor in the incident, while the man’s attorneys argue that he acted in self-defense.
In a published article by CBS News, the Prior Lake man is accused of first-degree homicide and attempted first-degree homicide. If convicted, he could face a life sentence in prison.
The trial for this case will begin on Monday morning with opening statements streamed on WCCO.
