Operation Skyhawk Nets 150 Suspects Including Correction Officers

In Georgia, a big operation called “Operation Skyhawk” caught 150 people including eight prison workers for using drones to sneak illegal stuff like phones and drugs into jails. The investigation started in November 2022 and found a secret network using drones to move bad things into Georgia’s prisons, according to the crime report of WRTV. They took down 87 drones, 273 phones, 22 weapons and lots of drugs like marijuana and cocaine.

The boss of Georgia’s prisons Tyrone Oliver said they won’t tolerate anyone messing with prison safety or public security. They stopped about 170 illegal drops during their investigation. They’re teaming up with lawyers to charge many suspects with serious crimes like gang stuff.
