A First-Degree Murder Incident

A 17-year-old boy has been taken into custody and accused of first-degree murder in the shooting of Jashawn Neal, who was holding a 1-year-old girl outside his apartment.

Eyewitnesses recounted a chaotic and frightening situation as gunfire erupted, prompting neighbors to come to the aid of the wounded individuals.

Police arrived promptly and successfully arrested the murder suspect without any issues.

The community is in shock over the first-degree murder incident that took place in their normally quiet neighborhood.

The child involved in the first-degree murder was also wounded but is now in stable condition.

The individual is facing charges of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, unlawful weapon use, and obstruction of justice.

According to a published article by The Advocate, the first-degree murder incident took place at Colonial Terrace Condominiums, where residents reported hearing up to nine gunshots.

An Almost-Shooting Incident

In a published article by Action News Now, a juvenile suspect was arrested after making a threat of violence towards a Weaverville area school on social media.

Law enforcement officials were alerted to the threat after concerned parents and students reported the post on social media.

The authorities quickly identified the suspects and apprehended them without incident.

School administrators and local law enforcement are collaborating to enhance the safety and security of students and staff at the school where an incident occurred.

The threat included a photo of a handgun and the statement “Try me tomorrow.”
