Mississippi Wanted Man Arrested Without Incident in Missouri

Springfield Police officers searched for a wanted man from Olive Branch, Mississippi for assaulting a police officer. They found Colby Alan Towles at a Bass Pro Angler’s Lodge on W. Sunshine, Missouri.

Suspect of an aggravated assault on a police officer

Olive Branch police officer was conducting an early-morning traffic stop at Highway 302 near the intersection of Craft-Goodman Frontage Road, reported by Fox 13 Memphis. According to the Olive Branch Police Department, Colby Alan Towles, a 34-year-old man, is riding a dark gray Harley Davidson Road Glide motorcycle. He suddenly approached the police officer and started yelling at them. Towles drove off then made a U-turn and fired shots at the police officers. Action News 5 reported that one of the officers returned fire as Towles drove away eastbound on Highway 302. Fortunately, no officers were injured.

Towles was a wanted man and the Olive Branch police searched for him in Missouri.

A wanted man captured in Missouri

Springfield Police Department Officers were searching for the wanted man, Colby Alan Towles, suspected of an aggravated assault on of police officer. As reported by Action News 5, on Monday evening, the Springfield police officers arrested Towles without incident at the Bass Pro Angler Lodge on W. Sunshine. Towles is in Olive Branch, awaiting extraction.

With him is his girlfriend, Sarah Skriver, 33 years old. According to DeSoto County District Attorney Matthew Barton, Skriver was arrested as an accessory and being held on a $150,000 bond.
