Mayorkas Discusses Immigration Solutions Proposed by Senators on Face the Nation
According to the report of KYMA, in a recent talk on Face the Nation Department of Homeland Security boss Alejandro Mayorkas talked about the tricky stuff happening at the southern border. He said both parties need to work together to fix the immigration mess. Mayorkas also mentioned a plan from some senators that has ideas for fixing things like giving more resources and changing policies.

DHS Secretary Mayorkas Addresses Tragic Murder of University Student Laken Riley and Urges Congressional Action
During the chat Mayorkas gave condolences for the sad killing of a 22-year-old University of Georgia student named Laken Riley. She was murdered while jogging near a lake on campus. Mayorkas made it clear that the guy responsible for the crime is Jose Antonio Ibarra. He facing a bunch of charges. Mayorkas said there a lot of legal battles going on about the actions they taking. He also said Congress needs to step up and help out. The tragic death of Laken Riley reminds everyone of the big job law enforcement has in keeping us safe.
