According to the crime report of KFDA, Today, a judge in Amarillo made a big decision. They decided that Shane Ray Bursie who is 36 years old will spend 23 years in prison. This decision comes after Bursie admitted to doing bad things last October. He confessed to robbing a store and using a gun to scare people. The FBI and Amarillo police worked together since August 2021 to figure out who was behind a bunch of violent crimes.

In October 2022, he went into a Family Dollar store in Amarillo with a gun. He made the store workers go behind the counter with him and threatened them. He even pointed the gun at them and made them open the store safe. This was a terrible experience for the workers and anyone else who witnessed it. Bursie has to face the consequences of what he did. His 23-year prison sentence shows that the justice system takes crimes like his very seriously. It also serves as a warning to others that violent behavior will not be tolerated.
