British National’s Two-Year Sentence for Hate-Fueled Immigration Campaign
According to Human Events, in West Yorkshire, British National Samuel Melia, 34, has been sentenced to two years in prison for creating and distributing offensive immigration-related stickers as part of the group Hundred Handers. The stickers bearing messages like “We will be a minority in our homeland by 2066” and “It’s okay to be white,” prompted the court to accuse Melia of fostering racial hatred and having “Nazi sympathies.” The escalation of concerns was fueled by his association with the nationalist group Patriotic Alternative.

‘Ethnic Slurs’ Stickers: Melia’s Troubling Affiliation with Historical Figures
The court criticized the stickers as “ethnic slurs” revealing Melia’s admiration for historical figures with fascist ties notably Oswald Mosley. The judge highlighted the discovery of a Hitler poster in Melia’s possession emphasizing the need to prevent the normalization of hate on the streets. Arrested in April 2021, Melia is mandated to serve half of his two-year sentence in jail reflecting ongoing efforts to curb the dissemination of hate speech in both digital and physical realms.
