Dodge’s Advice To The Youth Community
In an interview, Johnson City Police Chief Brent Dodge said that it is his belief that there is a need for minors to focus on the positivity of life and less of the negativity. “I think that some of these circles that these kids are getting caught up in glorify the violent behavior and I truly don’t think they understand the repercussions of what they are doing all the time”, he also said.
He wants youth in the community should know that there are consequences to every action and that they should stay away from things that they know are wrong. They are welcome to go to their trusted authority figure whenever they feel that their safety is in jeopardy.
