Adam Montgomery is currently on trial regarding his daughter’s disappearance and death.
Adam Montgomery Pleads Guilty
Adam Montgomery, who is on trial for the disappearance of his daughter Harmony, has admitted to hiding her remains after her death.
Adam Montgomery pleaded guilty to charges of falsifying physical evidence and abuse of a corpse but is still on trial for second-degree murder, assault, and witness tampering.
Adam Montgomery’s attorney argued that while he admits to the two crimes, it is his estranged wife, Kayla Montgomery, who is to blame for Harmony’s death. Kayla Montgomery testified that Harmony died after Adam Montgomery repeatedly punched her when she urinated in the car.
After Harmony’s death, Adam Montgomery allegedly placed her body in a duffel bag and moved it with them as they relocated. Eventually, Adam Montgomery put the body in the ceiling of a shelter.
According to a published article by True Crime Daily, testing confirmed the presence of Harmony’s DNA on the ceiling. Harmony was reported missing in December 2021, and her body has still not been found.
Kayla Montgomery’s Statements
In a published article by The Independent, Montgomery’s estranged wife, Kayla Montgomery, testified that he repeatedly struck Harmony after she had a bathroom accident.
She also revealed that he stored Harmony’s remains in various bags and crushed them before disposing of them in his workplace freezer in March 2020.
