In a concerning turn of events, a road rage incident unfolded at the LeRoy Collins Parking Garage on the Tampa Campus of the University of South Florida (USF). University Police (UP) swiftly responded to the situation, leading to the arrest of an individual involved in the alarming confrontation.
Early Morning Escalation
Around 8:30 a.m., UP was alerted to a road rage incident on the Tampa Campus, eventually leading both vehicles to the LeRoy Collins Parking Garage near the library.
The unidentified suspect, reportedly brandishing a firearm, aimed it at another driver at the parking garage before making a hasty exit.
Responding to the incident, the Tampa Terrace Police Department collaborated with UP to apprehend the individual at his residence.

Campus on Alert
University of South Florida (USF) students were promptly notified via the USF SAFE app at 8:54 a.m. to steer clear of the area and take precautionary measures.
A subsequent alert at 10:16 a.m. assured students that the situation had been resolved, though no additional details were provided.
Despite the illegality of possessing a firearm on campus in Florida, thankfully, no injuries were reported in this alarming incident, and UP asserts there is no lingering threat to the university.
