Tragedy Strikes in Lancaster, Family Targeted in Unimaginable Road Rage Shooting

The Los Angeles County police branded the incident “unimaginable,” saying two perpetrators chased and shot the family’s automobile. The family was killed Friday night when assailants cut off their car on a Lancaster roadway. Mayor R. Rex Parris said it could have happened to any family and surprised and saddened the town.

Two murder suspects a 29-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman were promptly detained. Their identities were disclosed later. The family drove on the Sierra Highway near Lancaster at 7:30 p.m. local time when violence occurred. The suspects chased the victim across many streets after cutting off their car. The defendant came up behind the victim’s car and shot the 4-year-old in the back torso during the pursuit.

The traumatized parents rushed the baby to a local hospital, where he died. The child’s name is concealed until the LA County Medical Examiner autopsy. Thank goodness the parents were unharmed. Lancaster’s crime-fighting technologies deployed this year quickly found the suspects. Mayor Parris said Flock Safety, the city’s automated license plate recognition, found the criminals.
