Three people have died in a crash in South Dakota that was caused by a probe into a stolen car. When cops tried to stop a stolen car on Monday evening, December 11, 2023, the incident happened.

POLICE CHASE ENDS WITH TRAGIC CRASH IN SOUTH DAKOTA

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office in South Dakota said that three people died and one was hurt in a car accident that happened while police were looking into a stolen car. The police were told that someone had stolen a car from a farm and thought that the thief had been in an accident. During the next search, a pickup truck that had gone off the road and rolled over several times was found. Two people were killed at the scene, and a third died soon after.

The sheriff’s office said that after the accident, a fourth person stole a car from a nearby farm and seemed to have left the scene of the crime. Police later found the stolen car and the fourth person at a home in Beresford, after hours of searching. The suspect was then taken to a nearby hospital because he was hurt.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office released their statement on their Facebook Page about the incident.

The victims’ names have not been made public yet because their families have not been notified. The South Dakota Highway Patrol is looking into what happened right now, and as the case goes on, more information should come out.

The investigation is still going on, and more details are expected to be released as the investigation continues.
