Woman and Lover’s Arrests Unveil Chilling Plot in Northern California Murder Case

According to source, in a disturbing case from Northern California, a woman and her alleged lover have been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the stabbing death of the woman’s husband. The victim, 51-year-old Parwiz Assar, was found with stab wounds outside his home on October 8, leading to a subsequent investigation by Hayward Police. The evidence gathered, including incriminating texts, surveillance video, and a peculiar detail involving a Selena Gomez song, pointed to a premeditated plan to kill Assar.

Authorities traced the evidence to Seattle, where they arrested 21-year-old Samim Azizi, the alleged lover charged with murder. Azizi is currently held without bail at the King County Jail, awaiting extradition to California. About two weeks later, Assar’s wife, 35-year-old Razma Mohammad-Ibrahim, was apprehended in Hayward and is being held without bail at the Santa Rita County Jail, charged with murder. The couple, married for approximately 12 years, had been facing marital problems, and Mohammad-Ibrahim and Azizi became romantically involved in December 2022.

Police believe that Mohammad-Ibrahim and Azizi conspired to kill Assar so that she could end her marriage, gain full custody of her children, and secure all family assets, resulting in Mohammad-Ibrahim being charged with murder.

The investigation revealed a range of evidence, including surveillance footage, internet searches, and an alleged text from Azizi mentioning a “strong” knife, leading to Mohammad-Ibrahim also being charged with murder. The night of the attack was captured on Assar’s Ring doorbell camera, showing a masked assailant leaping from a bush and fatally attacking him.

Additional details emerged, indicating that Assar had expressed fear for his safety to a friend, asking to stay at his house just hours before the attack. On the day of the murder, a post on Mohammad-Ibrahim’s Instagram account featured the Selena Gomez song “Single Soon.” The couple’s young children are currently with other family members, and Mohammad-Ibrahim is charged with murder.

The collaborative efforts of various law enforcement agencies, including the U.S. Marshals Service and the Renton Police Department, were crucial in solving the case, with Hayward Police Acting Chief Bryan Matthews commending the investigative work and expressing condolences to the grieving family. Mohammad-Ibrahim, now charged with murder, awaits legal proceedings in connection with the heinous crime.
